‘Old World’, French, ‘Built In’ Kitchen Design

One style of European kitchen design that is so typical to French kitchens and that has not crossed to many country boarders and have certainly not cross the ocean to the US is the French Old World  built in kitchens. You find these typical French kitchens in many of the French country side homes and in some German, Italian and Swiss homes.

These kitchens are very unique in the sense that they are individually built into walls and masonry, which is what gives them their very unique look. Companies like Ateliers Jean Daniel , Le lys d’Argent and Les Rustiques sur Mesure are the specialist in this field.

    It really depends on the size of the kitchen, the finish (stain, paint or multi step finish process) and the type of appliances you wish to incorporate in it.

    Hi,
    It’s like asking “how much is a house?” – what is the size? Where is it? Which of the styles are you interested in? What are the appliances you are planning on using? Etc.
